What an honor

Thank you +A Long for nominating me for the V.I.B (Very Inspiring Blogger) Award!
There are seven rules to adhere to in accepting this award (The lazy part of me grumbled something about awards shouldn't come with blasted homework) But it seems like fun to do while I sip my cup of Jasmin tea.

1) Display the award logo on your blog. (Check)

2) State SEVEN facts about yourself. (Oh boy)

3) Link back to the person who nominated you. (Check)

4) Nominate FIFTEEN other Bloggers who deserve this award. (Do I know fifteen bloggers?)

5) Notify each of the Bloggers of their nomination for this award.

Seven Facts about me
  • I lived in a shelter for a good year of my early existence, and while I didn't know what it was when I was little, the only disappointment I had was that it wasn't shaped like a shell. (Though we had stuffed clams for dinner so in the end I go a pair of shells anyways.
  • For a good portion of my middle school and high school years, I felt emotion vicariously through the people around me.
  • I've known I wanted to help people since I was in third grade.
  • I've know I wanted to be an author since early seventh- eighth grade.
  • It took me a long time to learn how to read. The first book I had to read to my class, I had it read to me so many times that I memorized not only what words to say, but when to look at the other page, and when to turn the pages. (I was so nervous that day it was ridiculous)
  • I have a frighteningly good long term memory. (But a really sucky short term one)
  • I'm cocky enough to believe I can do anything I want with enough practice. (Meaning I have no limitations and no one should ever tell me I can't do something because I will do it.)
As for the fifteen bloggers, I don't know that many. To be honest I'm a picky reader and so If I'm following you, you've inspired me in some way. While it's not fifteen, those people are:
+CK Stock http://selfactualizedlife.blogspot.com/
+Mary Cain
+A Long
+http://inkinthebook.blogspot.com/
+Morgan Shamy
Sorry It's not fifteen, but it's a start at least.

  1. Melissa Rose, thanks so much for nominating me. Congratulations to the others you have nominated! Thanks for doing your homework, despite your grumblings. Disclosing information about ourselves and our past can be intimidating. Your disclosure inspires me to appreciate you even more. You are a well deserved recipient of this VIB Award! Keep up the writing life! Looking forward to your next post!

    1. lol no problem. I get lazy from time to time, but if I didn't know how to kick myself into action I wouldn't have completed a manuscript.

  2. Thank you so much, Melissa!

Oh, and you are not cocky to think you can achieve everything you want. You can because when you are inspired and pursue something with passion, you will be successful.

    1. Exactly. I always say the human mind is incredible. When you want something, the only thing that can ever stand in your way, is you.
